DECISION WORKSHOP
When the decision problem requires involving people other than the decision-maker, a clear PROBLEM STRUCTURE can be generated in a workshop format that includes a series of facilitation exercises, and that starts with DECISION DECLARATION and ends with a clear frame.
Decision makers usually have a frame in mind when they declare a decision, and therefore see framing workshops as a waste of resources that delay the actual analysis. However, with a thrown-in frame that has not been challenged and revised and that has not been embraced by all the stakeholders, the analysis will not be able to lead to action. Therefore, it is necessary to organize a decision workshop to include all the STAKEHOLDERS and have everyone's voice heard.
Reaching clarity of action requires being clear on the process itself - PROCESS CLARITY. Furthermore, a workshop is a learning process, and therefore any deliverable of a sub-process could be updated at any point in the workshop - ITERATIVE PROCESS. Finally, as with any resource, time and money are limited as well, and therefore it should be clear how long the process would take - DECISION TIMELINE.
